House of Fraser Apothecary

House of Fraser launched their Apothecary in October last year; I was in Glasgow on it's first day of opening and it is like stepping into some other world, filled with fabulously luxe lotions & potions, with quirky little products sharing shelf space with some uber technologically advanced skin care system.

The Apothecary removes you from the hustle and bustle of the Beauty Hall and transports you into an intimate, friendly and relaxing atmosphere, where you can browse, sniff, spray and swatch new & cult products to your heart's delight. The girls I met were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable, which was great as so many of the products were new to me.

I think, for me, the most surprising thing to find was the blend of very romantic-y luxury products and cutting edge skin care (you can buy facial slendertone!). It was fabulous to see such an eclectic mix. Anyway, this wasn't supposed to be a lengthy post, I just wanted to bring you a selection of what I think are some of the most eye-catching products available...

The price points are very wide ranging, from £4 for a quirky lip butter, to £100's for specialised skincare, so if you are on a budget, there will be something in there for you.

One of my favourite parts of the Apothercary was the little selections of 'Accessories', which included lip butters, nail polishes by world reknowned manicurist, Deborah Lippmann and Eyelashes by Eyelure.

I know these are pricey, but aren't they amazing? I mean, they have Swarvoski crystals on them!

I think the stand-out range overall has to be MOR. A brand that takes luxury very seriously, you will find yourself surrounded by excellent quality products, presented in my ultimate favourite way. If you read my blog regularly, you'll know I like a bit of packaging and boy! does this brand deliver!

The products themselves are jam-packed with the highest quality essential oils & ingredients, but I would pay the money just for the packaging alone! I love the almost gothic architecture to the packaging; it completely appeals to my dark and mysterious side.. (!)

(The glass is decorated with 24k gold for goodness sake!)

You can shop at the Apothecaries in store at participating House Of Frasers, but if yours does not have one, you can shop online at House of Fraser . Enjoy!!
